The overriding objective of the new delivery model is to enable TfGM to deliver Metrolink and Rail renewals and enhancements as well as other schemes, in the most efficient manner from a time, cost and quality perspective. The purpose of this Market Engagement exercise is to determine market interest to inform how best to procure a contracting partner or partners to meet the programme objectives: * To determine the capabilities in the market for the intended scope of the renewal and enhancement programme; * To determine the capacity in the market to meet the intended renewal & enhancements programme * The key objectives for a new delivery model are therefore to simplify the route to market, noting the relatively tight time pressures in what is necessarily a significantly reactive capital space, and a more straightforward way of coordinating network access. It is deemed the extensions will be granted in either 12 month increments, or 24 month increments to satisfy the 4 further years should TfGM decide to extend the contract.
