## Summary

NHS England is currently in the planning stage of a procurement process titled "Future of Patient Feedback: A Roadmap For Measurement, Insight and Improvement" under the industry category of social research services. This process is centred on the development of a sustainable and holistic insight system for gathering and analysing feedback from NHS users. Located in London, this procurement seeks to leverage digital capabilities to enhance feedback systems and will be discussed during a scheduled market engagement, requiring interested providers to submit a Request for Information by 20th August 2025. The anticipated expenditure for this project is £400,000 during the financial year 2025/26, with contract execution expected to commence on 17th November 2025.

This procurement presents a significant opportunity for businesses involved in social research services, particularly those with capabilities in digital solutions and experience data collection. Small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) are encouraged to participate, as the procurement is suitable for such entities. By contributing their expertise in designing innovative feedback mechanisms, businesses can potentially expand their footprint in the public healthcare sector and establish long-term relationships with a prominent central government authority like NHS England. The focus on digital improvement and data utilisation aligns well with technology-driven companies eager to enhance public service quality and measurement systems.

## Notice

NHS England is looking to the market to comment on a draft specification for the Future of patient feedback and also understand the capacity and capability of the market to understand how this potential opportunity may be procured. We are asking potential providers to complete the Request for Information document included within the Documents section on this portal. In line with the 10YHP three shifts, Quality Strategy, and evolving digital capabilities, we are seeking approval to spend PS400,000 in financial year 25/26 to commission work to scope and design a future state and possible implementation road map for the system wide collection, analysis and presentation of feedback from people using the NHS. The programme 'Future of patient feedback: a roadmap for measurement and improvement' will set out options for the design of a sustainable and holistic insight system, with ambitions of enabling utility of experience data in different forms, freeing up capacity to make improvements to quality, and to ensure that we are measuring what matters through easily navigable and inclusive feedback routes. The programme will explore digital capabilities offered by the NHS App and FDP to allow optimal capture and utility of care experiences.
