The Palace of Westminster is part of a UNESCO World Heritage Site, and one of the most recognisable buildings in the world. The Delivery Authority has been established for the purpose of restoring and renewing this Grade 1 listed building to preserve it for future generations. During the restoration and renewal of the Palace of Westminster, temporary accommodation will be required to support the work of Parliament. The Delivery Authority seeks to appoint a contractor to deliver the works to prepare suitable temporary accommodation. The Delivery Authority intends to procure via RM6267 - Construction Works and Associated Services 2 (CWAS2) / ProCure 23 (P23) - Lot 5. This pipeline notice is published on a voluntary basis to assist transparency as the Delivery Authority does not expect to meet the required total spend threshold in the next financial year so as to trigger a requirement for a pipeline notice pursuant to Procurement Act 2023 section 93. The requirement for, and extent of, any temporary accommodation works is subject to future decision making by the House of Commons and the House of Lords on the available options for and timings of the Palace of Westminster Restoration and Renewal Programme (R&R Programme) works.
