## Summary

Caerphilly County Borough Council is in the planning stage of a procurement process titled "Lone Worker Solutions," within the services industry category. The process involves a preliminary market engagement seeking input on lone worker safety solutions. Interested suppliers have until the deadline of 01 September 2025 to respond to this request for information (RFI). The council is located in Hengoed, UK, and the engagement aims to collect insights on innovative safety technologies applicable to diverse departments such as Housing, Environmental Health, and Trading Standards. The council's existing contract in this area runs until 30 April 2026, and potential procurement activities are anticipated to follow the information gathering phase.

This tender presents opportunities for business growth, especially for suppliers specialising in IT services like consulting and software development. The council is looking for scalable, integrated solutions that can enhance lone worker protection, offering an attractive prospect for businesses that provide advanced technologies such as GPS tracking, panic alerts, and integration capabilities with other systems. Suppliers who have proficiency in mobile platform compatibility and can offer unique safety features are well-suited to compete. The procurement process encourages participation from SMEs, suggesting inclusiveness in its approach to supplier selection, thereby broadening the competitive landscape for businesses aiming to expand their reach in the public sector market.
