## Summary

Swindon Borough Council is inviting contributions to a preliminary market engagement, aimed at modernising and improving up to 105 Reema type houses within the borough in accordance with PAS 2035 requirements. This process, part-funded by the Warm Homes Social Housing Fund (Wave 3) and Swindon Council's Capital Budget, involves planning to advise the specification for the whole house retro-fit project for 2026-2027. Interested contractors must register as suppliers on the ProContract portal by 1st September 2025, with engagement responses directed to Ms Jodie Wakefield at the council's civic offices. These responses will help shape the final tender and contribute towards the council's sustainable housing goals.

This opportunity for business growth is well-suited to businesses specialising in building construction, solar installation, electrical wiring, and thermal insulation. The engagement offers a chance to influence future specifications and develop partnerships with local government, leading to potential tendering opportunities once the bidding commences. The industry classifications indicate a strong demand for services in solar panels installation and energy-related services. As the project involves delivering energy efficient solutions across Swindon’s residential properties, companies providing innovative sustainable solutions stand to gain considerably from engaging in this preliminary stage.
