## Summary

The Nottingham City Council has successfully completed its procurement process for the provision of digital care alarms and associated peripherals under the project titled "Assistive Technology, Alarms and Peripherals." This initiative is part of Nottingham City Council Housing Services, specifically the Nottingham on Call (NoC) service, which seeks to upgrade its alarm systems to digital formats, preparing for the 2027 PSTN switch-off. The procurement, conducted through an open procedure, was aimed at replacing outdated systems with new digital solutions and enhancing service offerings, including mobile care solutions. The contract was awarded to CAREIUM UK LIMITED and will span from 3rd November 2025 to 2nd November 2029, covering the Greater Nottingham and East Midlands area. Approximately £1.68 million has been allocated for this contract, with contracts signed on 30th October 2025, and the award was confirmed on 11th November 2025.

This tender presents significant opportunities for businesses specialising in digital assistive technologies and alarm systems, particularly those capable of providing comprehensive service packages that include installation, maintenance, and support for digital care systems. As the chosen supplier, CAREIUM UK LIMITED will play a key role in this digital transformation, offering businesses a blueprint for success in similar public sector procurements. The procurement process also included a framework agreement for ensuring fixed pricing and streamlined supplier engagement, beneficial for companies looking to secure stable, long-term business operations.
