## Summary

The University of Warwick has initiated an open tender process for the procurement of an Ultra-High Speed Chemical Detector for Batteries, aimed at enhancing its chemical mapping capabilities for battery materials. This falls under the category of laboratory, optical and precision equipment. The procurement is being managed from their Coventry location, with key deadlines including an enquiry period ending on 5th September 2025 and a submission deadline on 12th September 2025. The tender process is at the 'Tender' stage and is run as an open competition below the threshold, allowing electronic submissions.

This procurement presents an excellent opportunity for businesses specialising in advanced laboratory equipment, particularly those experienced with chemical detection technologies. Suppliers with a robust background in precision instrumentation and a keen interest in contributing to academic and research environments would be ideally suited to participate in this tender. As the University of Warwick operates a voluntary adherence model to procurement legislation, businesses could potentially benefit from engaging with a flexible procurement process and forming valuable partnerships with a leading UK university.

## Notice

The University of Warwick has a requirement for to improve the chemical mapping capability on the Scios dual beam to provide it with a new state-of-the art capability. This system is used extensively for characterising battery-based materials and the new detector will enable accurate quantitative high-speed chemical mapping of large sections of these materials at low beam currents. In order to express interest in this opportunity please go to the University of Warwick In-Tend supplier portal (https://in-tendhost.co.uk/universityofwarwick). The University of Warwick is not a contracting authority for the purposes of the Public Contracts Regulations 2015 (as amended) or the Procurement Act 2023 and associated Procurement Regulations 2024 (and as may be amended from time to time) and its procurement activities are not subject to the requirements set out therein or the obligations under the European Public Procurement Directives, including the European Remedies Directive.
