## Summary

The Business Services Organisation Procurement and Logistics Service is currently in the planning stage of a tender process, as of 12 August 2025, for a project entitled "Urine, Cerebrospinal Fluid and Body Fluids Microscopy Analysers, Reagents, Consumables and Quality Control." This procurement aims to support diagnostic services across all five Health and Social Care Northern Ireland trusts, including NHSCT and WHSCT, among others. The focus is on introducing an automated particle analyser for more efficient and consistent laboratory testing. Located in Derry, United Kingdom, the organisation is conducting a preliminary market engagement, inviting prospective suppliers to participate by 20 August 2025, with further engagements planned. The procurement falls under the medical and laboratory equipment industry category.

This preliminary market engagement represents a significant opportunity for businesses specialising in medical or laboratory analysis equipment, especially those providing cutting-edge technologies and innovative solutions. By participating in this early stage, businesses can position themselves as key contributors to improving laboratory diagnostics in Northern Ireland, potentially leading to long-term procurement opportunities once the tender progresses beyond the planning phase.
