## Summary

The West Midlands Combined Authority is currently in the planning stage of a procurement process entitled "Tree Survey for Midland Metro Limited - Expression of Interest (EOI)." The project falls under the services category, specifically targeting surveying and environmental services within the UKG region, with a focus on Birmingham, United Kingdom. The initiative seeks experienced suppliers to carry out a comprehensive tree inspection and mapping survey along the West Midlands Metro light rail network. Key activities include risk evaluation and tagging of trees from Wolverhampton to Edgbaston. Interested suppliers must express their interest via email by 12 noon on 5th September 2025. A project contract is planned to commence on 3rd November 2025, concluding on 2nd November 2026.

This tender offers substantial growth opportunities for small to medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) with expertise in arboricultural surveys or tree inspections, particularly those familiar with working in operational or transport corridors. Suppliers adept in tree risk assessment methodologies and digital systems for mapping and tagging will find this contract highly relevant. By participating in this EOI, businesses can demonstrate their skills in managing environmental risks, thereby positioning themselves for future endeavors related to infrastructure safety and vegetation management strategies. The experience within live infrastructure environments is advantageous and can set a firm apart in the bidding process.
