## Summary

The procurement process titled "Electrical Testing (EICR and Remedials) Service" was conducted by North Star Housing Group, a sub-central government public authority located in Thornaby, United Kingdom. The industry's focus lies within the electrical services category, specifically involving Electrical Installation Condition Reports and Portable Appliance Testing for properties in the Tees Valley, North Yorkshire, and County Durham. The procurement method employed was an open competitive flexible procedure. The award stage has been completed, with the contract awarded to MMC Facility Management Limited. The contract period is set to commence on 1st March 2026 and conclude by 1st March 2029, with potential extensions up to 2031. This tender presents significant opportunities for businesses specialising in electrical safety and compliance services. Companies with expertise in conducting condition reports and appliance testing to maintain safety standards would find this contract a fit for expanding their market reach in the specified UK regions. The procurement valued at £2,500,000 and set over a three-year duration opens substantial avenues for small and medium enterprises (SMEs) as well, evidenced by the fact that half of the final stage bids came from SMEs. Businesses adept in delivering quality and cost-effective electrical testing services, particularly those meeting statutory safety regulations, stand to benefit from engaging in such competitive procurement processes.
