## Summary

The Ministry of Defence has completed the procurement process for a service contract under the Defence Security special regime. Titled "Identity Attestation Verification," this contract involves consultancy services aimed at enhancing identity validation and verification processes. Located in the United Kingdom, the contract was awarded to Hippo Digital Limited on 30 June 2025, with the service starting on 1 July 2025 and ending on 25 August 2025. This procurement was conducted through a direct method, below the threshold, and without open competition. The primary award category is services, specifically focusing on the software consultancy area.

This project presents an opportunity for growth particularly for firms specialising in digital identity solutions and software consultancy services. Businesses dealing with identity management systems, especially those with a focus on governmental or defence applications, would find this contract model advantageous. Given the magnitude of the project's expectations, involving up to 250,000 active identities and potential 1,000 changes weekly, established firms with robust IT infrastructure and capabilities would be well-suited to engage in similar opportunities. Such contracts can bolster a business’s portfolio by leveraging advanced technical solutions and offering scalable identity management services.
