## Summary

The National Lottery Community Fund, a central government public authority, is currently in the 'Tender' stage of its procurement process titled "Elected Representatives Research". The research aims to gather insights into elected representatives' perceptions of the Fund and enhance engagement strategies. This procurement process is categorised under "Research and development services and related consultancy services" and is UK-wide, with the Apex House located in Birmingham, United Kingdom being the buyer's address. The procurement method is 'open', specifically aimed at below-threshold competition. Key timelines to note include an enquiry period ending on 26th August 2025 and a tender submission deadline set for 8th September 2025 at 15:00. The contract is valued at £160,000 and spans from 29th September 2025 to 28th September 2028, with a potential one-year extension.

This tender presents a significant opportunity for businesses involved in research and consultancy services, particularly those with experience in working with government bodies and public entities. Organisations that specialize in gathering and analysing data, and that have the capability to evaluate engagement and advocacy approaches, would be well-suited to compete for this contract. The emphasis on quality, with an 80% weightage, offers a rewarding opportunity for firms that excel in delivering comprehensive and insightful research results. Additionally, businesses interested in policy advisory roles and those aiming to establish or enhance their foothold within the public sector can leverage this tender to drive growth and expand their portfolio.

## Notice

The Fund is a UK-wide organisation that delivers funding through five main portfolios: England, Scotland, Wales, Northern-Ireland, and UK-wide. The Fund's Strategic Analysis team are developing a new piece of research with one of our key stakeholder groups, elected representatives from across the United Kingdom (MPs, MSPs, MLAs, and MSs). This will be a re-designed piece of research to replace the previous piece (the "MPs and Elected Representatives Survey"), the contract for which has recently expired. The primary objective of the new research is to capture data about elected representatives' perceptions and awareness of the Fund, data which will be used to inform one of our corporate KPIs (KPI 6: "More than 50% of elected members are aware that the Fund supports good causes thanks to the National Lottery"). The research will also be used to measure the effectiveness of our engagement and advocacy approach with elected representatives. Data will be used to inform portfolio level business planning and engagement strategies.
