## Summary

The recent procurement process led by DESNZ & DSIT Group Commercial focuses on a significant project titled "Research exploring children’s views on the future," classified under the industry category of research and development services. The contract, valued at £30,000, was awarded to the British Association for the Advancement of Science and is aimed at contributing to the Future of Childhood project through innovative research techniques. The buying organisation, a department under the UK government, sought expertise specifically in London, UK. The process, which culminated on 20th August 2025, involved an award stage following a limited procurement method due to a unique requirement for specific skills and resources that only the selected supplier could adequately fulfil.

This procurement offers significant opportunities for organisations that specialise in niche research fields and have the capacity to handle large-scale and innovative projects. It highlights a distinct advantage for businesses involved in creative engagement with young audiences, providing a competitive edge if they can demonstrate capability in large-scale participatory research methods. Companies aiming to expand their portfolio in government-related foresight and consultancy services would find this tendered project a means to bolster their market positioning, especially those that can leverage similar capacities and insights technology in developing future-centric reports and projects.
