## Summary

Breckland District Council has successfully completed the open procurement process for a contract titled "Reactive Building Repairs and Maintenance," with services focusing on both residential and commercial properties. Encompassing regions across Breckland, including Dereham, Attleborough, Swaffham, Thetford, and Watton, the contract caters to routine, urgent, and emergency repairs. The procurement period spans from 10th June 2026 to 9th June 2027, with a potential extension of up to two years. The awardee, AMR Electrical Services Limited, has been contracted to deliver these essential services at a value of £132,091.20. The procurement method utilised was below threshold - open competition, highlighting transparency and accessibility for suitable vendors.

This tender presents significant growth opportunities for businesses operating in the repair and maintenance industry, especially those specialised in building installations. Given the broad scope and geographic coverage, it suits small to medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) capable of providing high-quality, timely maintenance services. Engagement in this contract allows businesses to build a strategic relationship with a governmental authority, potentially leading to future collaborations and increased visibility in the public sector. The service demands expertise in carpentry, plumbing, brickwork, and basic roofing, among others, making it an ideal opportunity for contractors with comprehensive maintenance skillsets to expand their portfolio and market presence.
