## Summary

Milton Keynes City Council is currently in the planning stage of a procurement process titled "Remote Monitoring Technologies for Social Care". The council seeks innovative solutions in the Technology Enabled Care (TEC) sector to enhance support for its residents. The main procurement category is services, specifically targeting medical equipment, pharmaceuticals, personal care products, and patient-monitoring systems. A significant engagement is scheduled, requesting feedback from providers on potential technologies by 5 September 2025, with a showcase event planned for 12 September 2025 at the Milton Keynes City Council Chambers in the UKJ12 region. This planning phase's goal is to develop a comprehensive tender specification based on market feedback, with contracts set to commence in August 2026 and conclude by August 2028.

This tender presents substantial opportunities for businesses specialising in remote monitoring technologies, particularly those offering solutions for temporary and long-term deployment in social care settings. Companies involved in developing innovative medical and patient-monitoring systems will find this procurement process an excellent prospect for showcasing their capabilities. Given the council's interest in engaging with small and medium enterprises (SMEs) and voluntary, community, and social enterprises (VCSEs), these organisations are well-positioned to compete and contribute solutions that support independent living and informed care planning. Participating in this tender can lead to significant business growth and establish enduring relationships with a forward-thinking public authority.

## Notice

Milton Keynes City Council ('the Council') is keen to explore how we can best use innovative remote monitoring technologies to enhance the support we provide to our residents. We are planning a supplier showcase event to engage with providers in the TEC sector and discover solutions that help us deliver smarter, more responsive care. We are particularly interested in solutions that address: (1) Temporary deployment to monitor routines and behaviours over a short period, helping us to better inform care planning and assessments. (2) Long-term deployment to support independent living by providing ongoing monitoring, alerts, and insights that enable timely interventions and reassurance for individuals and their support networks. We are keen to hear from providers on the questions given in the market engagement document. The responses to the questions will help the Council in developing the specification and the tender. Please respond to the questions in the attached document by the latest time 5pm on Friday 5th September 2025 via In-Tend Correspondence section/market engagement stage. If there is sufficient interest in a showcase event to explore the proposal in more detail, this will be held on the 12th September 2025, in person at Milton Keynes City Council Chambers. Please also indicate if you would like to receive an invitation which will be sent separately subject to interest.
