## Summary

South Tees Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust is planning a procurement process for a community health service titled "Community Health Service - Marie Curie." This service aims to support patients at home during overnight shifts, providing respite for families and preventing unnecessary hospital admissions. The planned procurement falls under the services category, specifically community health services, and is valued at £711,684. It will be subject to the Health Care Services (Provider Selection Regime) Regulations 2023. The procurement process is currently in the planning stage, with significant stakeholders having been identified, and is intended for completion via the Most Suitable Provider method. This procurement process is located in the UKC1 region, covering Middlesbrough, United Kingdom, with key communication updates available through the NHS Foundation Trust's platform.

This tender presents a notable opportunity for businesses specialising in healthcare services, particularly those with expertise in community nursing and overnight care. Organisations that can provide high-quality nursing services in home settings would be well-suited to compete, especially if they can demonstrate their capability to deliver efficient and empathetic patient care. By securing this contract, businesses have the chance to expand their operations within the NHS framework and contribute significantly to community health outcomes. Interested parties should consider this opportunity to grow their service offerings and solidify their presence in the UK health services market.

## Notice

This project supports patients who remain in their own home, this initiative supports patients overnight (full shift in patient home) with their care needs, often providing families respite and present an unnecessary hospital admission as we can meet their care needs at home. This supports the community nursing services who provide care needs during the day, and they identify the patients and families that would benefit from the overnight Marie Curie support. This service has been undertaken by Marie Curie and the Trust wishes to continue this by completing an award via the Most Suitable Provider process.
