## Summary

The NHS Nottingham and Nottinghamshire Integrated Care Board has initiated a procurement process for the "Special Allocation Scheme (SAS) Service" targeting the health services industry. The service aims to provide essential medical care to patients removed from GP lists due to violent or threatening behaviour, within a secure environment. This tender pertains to services in the UKF14, UKF15, and UKF16 regions and follows the Provider Selection Regime (PSR) under the Health Care Services Regulations 2023. The contract, valued at approximately £717,500, is set to run from 1 April 2026 to 31 March 2030 and has been awarded using a limited procurement method, bypassing a call for competition. The most recent update on 19 September 2025 confirms the formal award under the said regime, following a prior intention to award notice dated 27 August 2025.

This tender presents significant business growth opportunities, especially for organisations that can demonstrate strong integration, collaboration, and service sustainability, which were heavily weighted in the award criteria. With a focus on reducing health inequalities and improving access to secure medical services, businesses with existing strategic relationships within the Nottinghamshire Integrated Care System are well-positioned to compete. Companies specialising in innovative health service delivery and those aligned with social value dimensions will find this an opportune venture to enhance their foothold in the healthcare sector, particularly within the framework of regional integrated care systems.
