## Summary

The Civil Nuclear Police Authority (CNPA) / Civil Nuclear Constabulary (CNC) has awarded a contract for "Radiation Protection Services" through an open procurement procedure. The awarded contract is for providing comprehensive radiation protection advisory services, accredited by RPA2000, covering health, safety, and regulatory matters related to ionising radiation. The contract, signed on 13th April 2026, spans from this date to 31st March 2028, with options for extensions up to 2031. Nuvia Limited, a large supplier based in Warrington, has been awarded the contract. This procurement process is complete and falls under the defence and security special regime. The buyer is located in Abingdon, United Kingdom, with contact available through Louise Withers at the CNC. The procurement stage transitioned from planning through tendering, finally culminating in the award.

This tender represents a significant opportunity for businesses specialising in radiation protection services, dosimetry systems, and contamination-monitoring devices to expand their portfolio. Large enterprises with robust regulatory advising capabilities, particularly those accredited to supply services above the threshold and capable of covering defence and security needs, would find this contract appealing. It sets the stage for establishing long-term partnerships with government authorities, potentially leading to growth in public sector contracts. Being listed on the Health and Safety Executive's approved Dosimetry Services List is vital for suppliers looking to compete for similar procurements in future rounds, emphasising the importance of maintaining high standards and certifications in specialised public sector services.
