## Summary

The procurement process for a Digital Asset Management System (DAMS) was led by Scottish Natural Heritage, legally known as NatureScot, headquartered in Inverness, United Kingdom. This initiative falls under the IT services category, specifically focusing on consulting, software development, Internet, and support. Initially tendered under an open procedure, the procurement sought to establish a service contract lasting three years, with potential extensions extending up to a total of seven years. The procurement reached the award stage on 1 December 2025, and the contract, valued at £194,670, was signed with Innaxys Ltd on 27 November 2025. The system is intended to provide a robust solution for the storage and management of rich media assets, ensuring compliance with the latest Web Content Accessibility Guidelines.

This tender presents a range of opportunities for businesses specialising in IT services, particularly those offering innovative solutions for digital asset management. The emphasis on quality criteria such as sustainability, system implementation, and data management suggests that providers with expertise in these areas stand to benefit. With contract extensions that could continue service provision over an extended period, businesses can grow their portfolio by working with a prestigious national agency like NatureScot. Small to medium-sized enterprises, capable of meeting the comprehensive functional and quality requirements laid out, and with a track record of reliable IT solutions, are particularly well-suited to engage in such contracts and enhance their market position.
