## Summary

The Northern Ireland Fire and Rescue Service is actively seeking suppliers for the provision of Depolluted End of Life Vehicles under an open framework agreement. Coordinated by the Business Services Organisation Procurement and Logistics Service, the contract is categorised under services for special-purpose motor vehicles and other related services. This tender process reaches its enquiry deadline on 19 May 2026, with the final submission deadline set for 29 May 2026, and the procurement will be conducted within Northern Ireland. The intended framework agreement is structured to include direct call-offs and secondary competitions, offering flexibility to adapt to service demand over multiple lots spanning regional areas. This procurement opportunity is set to move from the tender phase to awarding contracts from 1 October 2026, against the backdrop of Northern Irish devolved regulations.

This framework contract presents significant growth opportunities for businesses specialising in vehicle depollution and related logistics services. Firms equipped with effective Authorised Treatment Facilities (ATF) permits and a robust compliance framework will likely be competitive in this tender. The contract's extensive scope and framework arrangement provide possibilities for increased usage and service provision expansions due to planned extensions and flexibility within lot values. As it spans four years, with an optional extension of up to 18 months, this contract is suitable for firms looking to establish a long-term service relationship with the Northern Ireland Fire and Rescue Service across various geographical areas in Northern Ireland.
