## Summary

The procurement process by NHS Bedfordshire, Luton, and Milton Keynes Integrated Care Board (BLMK ICB) pertains to community services in gynaecology, cardiology including heart failure management, and respiratory care. BLMK ICB is considering awarding a contract to an existing provider for these essential health services, covering locations such as Milton Keynes within the region UKJ12. The procurement is in the 'award' stage under the Provider Selection Regime, with key representations needed by 11th September 2025, following the Health Care Services Regulations 2023. It is a direct award process without publication for competition, expected to commence on 1st April 2026, lasting for two years with an approximate value of £2,937,019.

This tender provides significant business growth opportunities primarily for established health service providers with expertise in delivering community-based healthcare solutions, specialising in gynaecology, cardiology, and respiratory conditions. Firms that already engage in the healthcare industry, particularly those capable of offering integrated care spanning diagnostics, treatment, education, and supporting transitions between primary and secondary care, are well-suited to compete. Organisations with a proven track record in managing community healthcare services and promoting early diagnosis, patient self-management, and efficient care transitions will have the potential to thrive by enhancing their service offerings and expanding their operational footprint through this high-value contract.

Lot 1

BLMK ICB are intending to award a contract an existing provider following direct award process C for the following:

Community Gynaecology Service: This service provides assessment and treatment for a range of gynaecological conditions in a community setting, aiming to reduce secondary care referrals. The service includes diagnostics, minor procedures, and onward referrals where necessary. It also supports GP education and pathway development.

Community Cardiology / Integrated Community Heart Failure Service: This dual service offers tiered cardiovascular care, including diagnostics, management plans, and follow-ups for non-acute cardiac conditions. Integrated Community Respiratory Service: A specialist-led service for diagnosing and managing respiratory conditions such as COPD and asthma. It includes spirometry, home oxygen assessments, clinics, and ANP-led reviews. The service promotes early diagnosis, self-management, and integration with smoking cessation, mental health, and rehabilitation services.
