## Summary

The procurement process for the "Traditional Farm Building Feasibility Studies" conducted by the Lake District National Park Authority has reached the award stage. Located in the United Kingdom, this tender involved feasibility studies for traditional farm buildings across the National Park. The contract was awarded on 9th October 2025, with the work scheduled to start on 30th October 2025, ending on 20th March 2026. The procurement method for this services category was an open competition below the threshold. The authority operates out of Kendal and has seen multiple lots within this tender process completed, focusing heavily on feasibility studies and advisory services within the UKD12 region.

This tender offers significant growth opportunities for businesses, especially small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) with expertise in architectural feasibility studies and consulting services. Suitable businesses are those with experience in historic building consulting, particularly those familiar with the Lake District’s vernacular architecture. The open procurement method means the tender process was accessible, fostering competitive bids and the potential for similar future opportunities. Companies that can provide quality work at competitive prices, with emphasis on local materials and sensitivity to historic preservation, are well-placed to benefit from such public contracts.

Assess the current condition of the building (including a structural survey by an experienced structural engineer) 3. Obtain scoping surveys from qualified ecologists to assess the habitat value of the site 4.
