## Summary

West Yorkshire Combined Authority has proceeded through to the award stage in its procurement process for the "Home Energy Collective Buying Scheme - Phase 2". The process aims to provide residents and organisations within West Yorkshire with affordable renewable energy solutions, including solar PV systems, battery storage, and energy-efficiency consultancy services. The open procurement method resulted in a contract awarded to ICHOOSR LIMITED, based in London. The contract, valued at £310,039.20 gross, will run from 1st July 2026 to 31st March 2028, with a possibility for a 12-month extension. This marks a key milestone following the tender stage, which was completed in June 2026, and the planning phase that outlined the strategic intent in October 2025.

This tender presents significant opportunities for businesses specialising in renewable energy and energy efficiency technologies, particularly those with capabilities in installation and consultancy services. SMEs were particularly encouraged to participate, as shown by the successful bid from an SME supplier. Companies equipped with innovative solutions for solar energy installations and energy conservation measures stand to benefit from the strategic partnerships this scheme fosters. Such business ventures not only contribute to environmental goals but also offer potential growth trajectories in the low-carbon economy across West Yorkshire.
