## Summary

East Riding of Yorkshire Council is in the planning stage of a public procurement process for the "Chantry Court Sheltered Housing" project. This initiative involves the demolition of the existing Chantry Court Building and the construction of 56 sheltered housing flats over three floors, complete with landscaped communal gardens and associated car parking. The project is set in Beverley, United Kingdom (UKE12), and falls under the construction works industry category. A preliminary market engagement notice was published on 10th September 2025, and interested contractors are encouraged to express their interest by 10th October 2025. A briefing session is scheduled in Bridlington, provisionally on 22nd October 2025, to present the project overview and engage with potential contractors.

This project represents a substantial opportunity for businesses involved in construction and development, particularly those specialising in sheltered housing. With an estimated gross contract value of £17.4 million, it is well above procurement thresholds, making it an attractive venture for medium to large enterprises, although small and medium enterprises (SMEs) are also considered suitable. The project will employ construction methods that maximise the site's potential and community integration, offering extensive engagement opportunities for firms experienced in creating accessible living spaces with modern amenities. The tendering process will be initiated in 2026, providing ample time for businesses to prepare competitive submissions.

## Notice

The project involves the demolition of the existing Chantry Court Building and construction of 56no flats over three floors, with landscaped communal gardens and associated car parking around the site. The build is laid out to mirror the terraces for flats surrounding the site, by creating 3 blocks carefully orientated around the communal garden and car parking to maximise the sites potential. A single storey dual entrance communal area links and connects the building at ground floor. Each flat has access to a private balcony and communal areas. The living spaces are combined with kitchen and dining, with sliding door access to the balcony. Each bathroom has an additional door providing easy access from the main bedroom and lobby. Similarly, additional doors from the bedroom in the M(4)3 dwellings provide easy access from the living space to a bed.
