## Summary

The London Borough of Lewisham is undertaking a procurement process for the provision of mechanical repair, maintenance, and minor works services. This contract, managed by the public authority as a sub-central government entity, aims to address Hard Facilities Management needs across various council properties. The procurement follows an open, competitive flexible procedure with participation in two stages: an initial qualification through the Procurement Specific Questionnaire (PSQ) and then an invitation to tender for shortlisted suppliers. Interested firms must submit their tenders by 7th April 2026, with the anticipated contract commencement date slated for 4th August 2026, lasting three years and potentially extending for an additional two years. The project, valued at £2.9 million with a gross value of £3.5 million, covers industry categories such as plant repair and maintenance, HVAC installations, and technical inspections, primarily within the UKI44 region of the United Kingdom.

This tender presents significant business growth opportunities, especially for SMEs proficient in mechanical and electrical engineering services. Firms specialising in repair and maintenance services for building installations can strengthen their portfolio by engaging in this extensive contract. The competitive nature, underscored by the emphasis on cost, quality, and social value, makes it an attractive bid for organisations with a proven track record in public sector projects. Successful bidders will not only secure a sizable three-year contract but also position themselves for further extensions, potentially reaching up to 2031. Companies aiming to enhance their presence in London's vibrant and diverse community should consider this opportunity to broaden their engagement with the public sector.
