## Summary

The Council of the Borough of Kirklees has finalised and awarded contracts for the "Provision of Nicotine Replacement Therapy (NRT)" as part of the Provider Selection Regime (PSR). This procurement falls under the sector of miscellaneous health services and is aimed at providing stop smoking aids. The contract, initiated in the Huddersfield region (UKE44), will run from 1 July 2025 to 31 March 2027, with possible extensions until 31 March 2029. The procurement method used was a limited direct award without prior publication due to specific regulatory exemptions. The contracts were signed on 28 August 2025, having an annual value of up to £175,000, depending on the volume and type of NRT products dispensed via e-vouchers managed through the Quit Manager online portal.

This tender opportunity is beneficial for large-scale suppliers in the health and community pharmacy sectors as it supports social value, sustainability, and health equity objectives. Companies like Mediphase Ltd, Paddock Head Pharmacy, and Siky Ltd have been selected to supply NRT, indicating that businesses capable of delivering health-related services and products in community settings may find significant growth opportunities in similar tenders.
