## Summary

The London Borough of Barking and Dagenham is currently in the tender stage of procuring the "Park Safety Enhancement Programme: Improved Signage for Safer Spaces." This initiative falls under the industry category of signage within the goods procurement sector. The procurement method being employed is an open procedure, aiming to design, manufacture, and install signage throughout urban parks within the borough. Notable dates include the tender closing on 10th June 2026. The contract is anticipated to commence on 3rd August 2026 and will continue until 31st July 2031. Located in the UKI52 region, this project is rooted in enhancing safety and wayfinding across the borough's parks.

This tender process provides substantial growth opportunities for businesses specialising in signage design and production, particularly those capable of delivering high-quality, vandal-resistant signs. Small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) and Voluntary, Community and Social Enterprises (VCSEs) are encouraged to participate, given the eligibility and potential for securing contracts within this programme. Businesses with experience in creating durable, weatherproof, and engaging signage consistent with urban branding are well-suited to compete, enabling them to expand their portfolio and impact within the public sector.
