## Summary

The procurement process, initiated by the Department of Health & Social Care (DHSC), involves the development of an Interoperability and Architecture platform for Adult Social Care, titled "DHSC - ASC: Interoperability and Architecture platform - Discovery". With a focus on IT services such as consulting, software development, and support, the procurement target area is within the region of London (UKI32). The contract, which reached the award stage on 11th September 2025, was secured by Softcat Plc, a large UK-based company. Conducted through a limited procedure without prior publication due to specific framework agreements, the contract was signed on 2nd September 2025, amounting to £1,000,000, with an additional subcontracting value of £469,060 for specialist services.

This tender represents significant opportunities for businesses involved in IT and software development, particularly those specializing in digital solutions for health and social care interoperability. The project's first stage, focusing on creating a minimum viable product for the Social Care Interoperability Platform (SCIP), offers scope for innovation in securely managing and transferring critical care information across various providers. Companies equipped to deliver on complex IT software development services, with experience in enhancing care services and leveraging AI and automation for sector-specific needs, would find this tender particularly suited to their capabilities.
