The procurement method used was "limited," indicative of a below-threshold competition, aiming to promote a selective approach in sourcing suppliers. The process is now in the award stage, having begun with tender initiation, and the contract period commences on 17th September 2025, concluding on 2nd February 2026. The stage of the procurement is complete, and work is expected to comply with various EN standards, emphasizing safety and design integration.

This tender presents significant opportunities for businesses focused on construction and engineering, particularly those specialising in modernising lift systems and handling equipment. Suppliers who have capabilities in project management, installation, design, and integration are well-suited for similar future projects. The selective nature of the competition ensures that companies proposing innovative solutions with rigorous safety and compliance standards have the potential to gain a competitive edge.
