## Summary

Scottish Hydro Electric Transmission PLC, based in Perth, is inviting tenders for a Minor Maintenance Framework titled "FW Works- Minor Maintenance Framework - Multi- 0230". This tender is currently at the stage of gathering market information and the procurement will be conducted through an open competitive flexible procedure. The initiative focuses on maintaining 180 sites across Scotland with contracts expected to commence from 1st March 2026 and potentially extend to 31st August 2032. The industry category includes a variety of building construction works such as roofing, plumbing, and general maintenance encompassing mechanical, electrical, and winter maintenance aspects. Interested suppliers must express their interest via email by 29th October 2025, with a planned contract award period ending on 26th November 2025.

This procurement opportunity presents significant potential for small and medium-sized enterprises, particularly those with expertise in the construction and maintenance industry. With an aggregated contract value of up to £5.5 million split across multiple lots, the tender provides opportunities for local construction companies to engage in work that supports the drive towards Net Zero. Businesses equipped to handle defect correction, planned maintenance, and adherence to safety systems will find themselves well-positioned. The framework encourages participation from smaller contractors and does not require reopening competition, allowing prices to be determined from the initial framework tender, thus providing consistent business growth and stability over the long term.
