## Summary

The London Borough of Southwark is actively seeking proposals for a Supported Hostels Security Services Contract, under the procurement ID DN788550. This procurement exercise, initiated on 12 May 2026, involves a selective competitive flexible procedure designed to appoint a single supplier. The primary purpose is to ensure security services for five supported hostels located in London: Manor Place, Jo Richards House, David Barker House, Northcott House, and Keyworth Street Hostel. The contract, initially planned for three years, offers an extension potential of up to two additional years, and emphasizes providing security service during out-of-hours, with specific attention to vulnerable residents' safety. The core industry category of this procurement is security services, and interested participants must submit their expression of interest by 2 June 2026, with the award period concluding on 29 October 2026.

This tender presents significant potential for business growth, particularly for firms specialising in security services for social care environments. The procurement favours companies with a robust track record in safeguarding vulnerable adults and experience in supported hostel settings. The evaluation of proposals will be balanced, with 50% of the score based on price, 40% on quality, and 10% on social value, allowing companies of all sizes, including SMEs and VCSEs, to compete effectively. Firms that can showcase innovative strategies, employ trained and licensed personnel, and demonstrate a commitment to social value, such as employing local staff, will find this tender aligns with their business objectives and capacity to contribute to community well-being.
