## Summary

The procurement process for the project titled "UHB/ BSOL ICS Integrated Patient Pathway" is being led by the University Hospitals Birmingham NHS Foundation Trust, located in Birmingham, United Kingdom. The main industry category for this tender falls under software packages and information systems, specifically focusing on developing a single, integrated digital pathway platform. The procurement was at an advanced stage, with the tender process initially active and set to conclude with the award stage projected for 21 January 2026. However, the award was ultimately cancelled as of 8 December 2025 due to material changes required for NHSE funding that did not comply with procurement rules. The procurement process utilised an open procedure, inviting tenders until 27 October 2025, with a significant budget of GBP 2,000,000 gross.

This tender presents valuable opportunities for businesses specialising in healthcare IT solutions, particularly those focusing on integrated digital pathway platforms. Companies offering software systems that can streamline patient management, enhance care efficiency, and reduce health disparities would find this tender particularly pertinent. The contract period is substantial, initially set for four years with the possibility of extensions, potentially offering long-term business growth for successful bidders. Small and medium enterprises are deemed suitable, providing an inclusive opportunity for growth across business sizes. Despite the current cancellation, businesses in the specified industry should anticipate potential re-tenders or revised opportunities in the future, aiming to meet NHSE funding requirements.
