## Summary

In a recent procurement process, NHS Surrey Heartlands Integrated Care Board has awarded a contract to the Runnymede and Spelthorne Citizens Advice Bureau for delivering the Specialist Mental Health Advisory Service in North West Surrey. The process, now in the award stage, involves a Direct Award C under the Provider Selection Regime (PSR) Regulations 2023, applicable for healthcare services. The contract spans from 1st April 2024 to 31st March 2026, with an estimated lifetime value of £94,836. The service will address rehabilitation needs, focusing on mental health support for individuals in inpatient settings and those under secondary care, enhancing access to advice on matters such as mental health, financial wellbeing, housing, and employment, within the specified region.

This contract presents substantial opportunities for growth, particularly for organisations specialising in health and social care, outreach services, and community engagement. Given that the Citizens Advice Bureau utilises a cost-effective delivery model leveraging skilled volunteers, businesses involved in training, volunteer management, and community health services may find collaboration rewarding. The emphasis on integration, collaboration, and inclusivity aligns with potential business enterprises that are adept at working with public sector organisations and can offer innovative solutions to improve health equity and social outcomes within underserved communities. The project’s focus on reducing health inequalities and fostering community resilience makes it ideal for enterprises with a strong social value proposition.
