## Summary

The NHS Surrey Heartlands Integrated Care Board is overseeing the procurement process for the "Equity in Action Service," classified under health services. Situated in Woking, Surrey, this contract signifies an intention to award and is processed under the Provider Selection Regime (PSR), with an award decision set to be active from 27th November 2025 to 26th November 2026. The service aims to foster community engagement, co-produce solutions, conduct outreach and health promotion efforts, and support navigation of health systems. This initiative is enacting solutions tailored for Surrey, requiring a provider with strong local roots and connections. The procurement method has been conducted through a limited procedure, which circumvents the usual call for competition due to specific regulatory exemptions. The entire procurement activity falls under Surrey Heartlands ICB's geographical jurisdiction, with a notable deadline for representations set for 14th October 2025.

The tender presents substantial growth opportunities for businesses specialised in community health services, particularly those adept at engaging ethnic minority communities. The awarded contract, valued at £114,145.80, has been attributed to the Surrey Minority Ethnic Forum, which represents and supports ethnic minority populations in Surrey. Businesses excelling in multicultural outreach, health education, and integration of healthcare services would be highly compatible with the tender scope. The service applies quality and innovation-driven models to address healthcare inequalities and employs collaborative approaches with local communities. Established community-led businesses that prioritise cultural sensitivity and have a proven track record of working within grassroots networks may find this tender particularly rewarding in expanding their influence and doing meaningful work within Surrey's diverse communities.
