## Summary

The procurement process, managed by Forestry and Land Scotland (FLS), is currently in the planning stage and focuses on bridge inspection services. The title of the project is "Bridge Inspections," and it falls under the horticultural services category within the overarching industry classification of architectural, construction, engineering, and inspection services. This planned initiative aims to maintain and ensure safety across various structural assets, such as road-bridges and recreational structures under FLS's management in Scotland. The market engagement involves collecting insights via a Supplier Engagement Questionnaire, with submissions due by 17th October 2025, 1700 hours. The procurement process, adhering to the legal basis under the CELEX scheme, is designed to award contracts over the forthcoming months, ensuring readiness before the current contract expires in March 2026.

This opportunity presents significant potential for businesses specialising in technical inspection services, particularly those with expertise in bridge and engineering structure inspections. It caters to firms capable of conducting comprehensive assessments across diverse terrains and structures, from single-lane road bridges to rural recreational pathways. With an estimated contract value of £1,712,567.40, this project is substantial and could bolster the growth of companies looking to expand their operability within the Scottish regions described in the lot divisions. Companies involved in the architectural, engineering, and inspection sectors can leverage this engagement process to align their services with FLS's requirements, thereby enhancing their prospects in competitive tenders and contributing to environmental protection initiatives across the estates under FLS's jurisdiction.
