## Summary

Sheffield Children's NHS Foundation Trust is in the planning stage of a procurement process for a standalone Video Vector System intended for the Movement Analysis Laboratory at the National Centre for Child Health Technology, scheduled to open in 2026. This procurement falls under the industry category of measuring instruments and is situated in Sheffield, UK, within the UKE32 region. A pre-market engagement notice has been issued to assess supplier capability, with responses due by 17 October 2025. The Trust seeks a system that will function independently alongside the main 3D movement analysis laboratory to assist in various clinical applications for both children and adults with gait pathologies. An important milestone in this process is scheduled to offer suppliers an understanding of the detailed requirements they must meet.

This tender presents opportunities for business growth, particularly for SMEs involved in the provision of advanced medical and measurement equipment. Suppliers capable of delivering high-quality, UKCA or CE-marked integrated systems that support gait analysis, orthotic tuning, and similar applications would be well-suited to participate. The procurement emphasises the need for equipment that integrates seamlessly with hospital systems, along with dedicated training and support, presenting additional service opportunities beyond the initial sale. Businesses with strong capabilities in developing synchronised video capture and data analysis tools, especially those compliant with CMAS standards, will find this tender a relevant growth opportunity.
