## Summary

Bangor University, a sub-central government public authority in the United Kingdom, is currently in the planning stage of a procurement process for lift maintenance services under the tender title "BU782024- Lift Maintenance." This opportunity targets the industry category of lift-maintenance services with a procurement value of £672,000 gross (£560,000 net). The procurement concerns maintaining 59 lifts across campuses in Bangor, Anglesey, and Wrexham. Key dates include a market engagement milestone due on 22 October 2025, with the contract planned to start on 5 January 2026 and potentially extend up to 4 January 2031. The opportunity invites expressions of interest from qualified suppliers to determine the best route to market and is scheduled to proceed under Welsh devolved regulations with adherence to statutory standards like LOLER and PUWER.

This tender presents significant growth prospects for businesses specialising in lift maintenance services, particularly those familiar with statutory compliance, preventative maintenance, and rapid response services. Suitable candidates would be suppliers capable of delivering 24/7 callout services, emergency entrapment response, and repair solutions, including the installation and maintenance of lift communication systems. Additionally, businesses with the ability to supply parts and provide trained personnel will be well-positioned to compete for this contract. SME suitability is marked within the tender, opening doors for smaller enterprises to leverage their specialised expertise in the competitive lift maintenance market, fostering business expansion and partnership opportunities.
