The Contract length will be six years and four months (a four month implementation period, five years of enrolments and a teach out period of one year) of accredited vocational training in trauma informed practice in Youth Justice, including both theory and effective practice (as outlined in the YJ Skills Matrix) to all frontline officers in the YCS in order to support the specialisation of the workforce. The course will be the equivalent to a Level 4 qualification. The course length will not exceed 12 months. Any learner extensions beyond the agreed duration should be discussed and approved by the Authority and will be provided at no additional cost per learner. The programme must be accessible across all three YOI sites in England (Yorkshire, Midlands and London) with flexibility to deliver face-to-face elements. Each cohort will consist of learners across all three sites; each face-to-face session will be located within 90 minutes travel time of one of these sites.
