## Summary

Test Valley Borough Council is inviting tenders for a project titled "Tourist Information Point Design and Fabrication." This initiative falls under the industry categories of design consultancy services, computer equipment and supplies, fabrication work, and tourist information services, aimed at enhancing the local tourism economy. The council is in the tender stage of procurement, employing an open competition method for contracts classified as below threshold. The project involves the creation of Tourist Information Points at locations throughout Test Valley, UK, intended to offer tourists access to local attractions and services. The tender, worth an estimated £15,000 with a possible extension up to £18,000, anticipates a submission deadline on 3rd November 2025, followed by a contract period running from 17th November 2025 to 30th March 2026.

This tender presents a substantial opportunity for businesses specialising in design and fabrication of digital interfaces and structures, particularly those with experience in creating tourist-centric information and guidance platforms. Companies adept in integrating technology with physical installations to enhance user engagement will find this project suitable. Additionally, firms with a background in delivering administrative services related to tourism will be well-suited to contribute. The open procurement method ensures a wide pool of competitors, allowing diverse expertise to be brought to the table, thus fostering business growth through public sector collaboration.

## Notice

Test Valley Borough Council (TVBC) is changing how it delivers tourism support across the Borough. Part of this change is to roll out Tourist Information Points (TIPs) at different indoor locations across the Test Valley. As part of our commitment to enhancing the visitor experience and promoting the local tourism economy, we wish to commission the design and fabrication of a self-service Tourist Information Point. This installation will serve as a digital and physical touchpoint for visitors, offering intuitive access to local attractions, services, and experiences. Test Valley Borough Council wishes to appoint a designer that will design and fabricate an engaging Tourist Information Point board that provides visitors with clear information. The board must be intuitive and provide inspiration to visit local attractions. Tourist Information Points will be installed in up to 10 different sites across Test Valley. Any potential tenderer may want to consider referring to the Isle of Wight Tourist Information Points or the New Forest Information Points.
