## Summary

The Cambridgeshire & Peterborough Combined Authority is initiating a key Bus Operator Summit and Franchising Workshop aimed at reviewing and improving the local bus network. This event, scheduled for the 6th of November 2025, will be held in a venue soon to be confirmed during registration. Attendees will include bus operators and community transport providers, and the workshop will be led by Leon Daniels OBE, with key participation from Mayor Paul Bristow. The process is currently in the planning stage, with this workshop representing a milestone within the broader Bus Franchising Implementation Pathways Review. Interested parties are encouraged to register their attendance by contacting CPCA Procurement.

This procurement initiative presents significant opportunities for businesses specialising in transport services and equipment to engage with ongoing improvements and potential future contracts under the CPCA's bus franchising scheme. Companies with expertise in addressing transport challenges and those who can provide insights or experiences from various contracting environments are well-suited for participation. Engaging in this workshop could position these businesses advantageously for future service provisions set to commence from October 2026, subject to renewal options extending to 2031.
