## Summary

Shropshire Council is in the planning stage for the procurement process of the "DMCV 024 - Leisure Management Contract," which falls under the industry category of sporting services. This initiative encompasses a wide range of facilities across locations such as Bishop's Castle, Church Stretton, Cleobury Mortimer, and other regional centres. Key dates for engagement in this procurement start on 20th October 2025 and run through to the deadline on 7th November 2025 at 17:00. Interested parties are encouraged to engage in a preliminary market engagement exercise by reaching out via email. This public procurement is being initiated with the intent to formalise a management contract slated to start on 1st August 2027, running through to 31st July 2042, with a potential five-year extension option considered.

The proposed leisure management contract presents significant opportunities for businesses geared towards sporting services and facility management, particularly those with expertise in managing gyms, swimming pools, sports halls, and associated sporting amenities. The extensive development proposals, which include substantial investments and new facility builds, highlight substantial growth potential for businesses that can deliver enhanced leisure services, energy refurbishments, and capital projects. Companies with strengths in sustainable infrastructure improvements, sporting events, and community engagement will find this tender process an excellent platform for not only cementing partnerships with a significant public authority but also as a springboard for expanding their service offerings across the UK.
