## Summary

Northern Powergrid (Northeast) plc, a private utility company based in Newcastle upon Tyne, United Kingdom, is currently in the tender stage of establishing an Information Systems Services Framework Agreement. The procurement process aims to address digital, cyber, and managed service needs through a framework consisting of ten lots, ranging from infrastructure operations to testing services. This contract is being managed under a selective and competitive flexible procedure with framework agreements for relevant lots. The expression of interest deadline is set for 8th December 2025, with the award period concluding on 1st May 2026. The total estimated value of this procurement process amounts to £455 million, highlighting a significant opportunity in the IT services category, notably in consulting, software development, and support services across the UK.

This tender presents a significant opportunity for businesses specializing in IT services to secure high-value contracts. It is particularly suitable for companies experienced in infrastructure operations, application maintenance, cyber security, service integration, Oracle services, and other IT-related managed services. Such businesses could benefit from a stable long-term relationship through a framework agreement with Northern Powergrid. Moreover, the inclusion of future requirements invites innovative solutions and adaptation, offering further project opportunities. SMEs will find several lots specifically marked as suitable, providing a level playing field for smaller enterprises to compete. With a framework set to handle both direct awards and mini competitions, a wide array of businesses stand a chance to grow and expand their footprint in the utilities sector.
