## Summary

Exeter City Council, a sub-central government public authority located in Exeter, United Kingdom, is currently in the planning stage of a procurement process for a Planned Preventative Maintenance contract. This contract is designed to cover all council service areas and is structured into two lots: Mechanical, Electrical & F-Gas, and Specialist Compliance Services. The total estimated contract value is £2,000,000 GBP, with potential extensions bringing the gross amount to £2,400,000 GBP. The procurement is set under an open procedure and is above the threshold, ensuring broad competition. Key dates include a tender period ending on 24th July 2026, with contract commencement anticipated on 1st October 2026 and a possible extension of the contract duration from 2026 to 2034. Interested parties are scheduled to submit their tenders electronically via an exclusive procurement portal, where registration is free, and all documents will be available starting from 25th June 2026.

This tender offers significant opportunities for businesses within the repair and maintenance services industry, particularly those experienced in maintaining mechanical and electrical systems, and providing specialist compliance services. It is especially suited for small and medium enterprises (SMEs) due to its structure and the council's emphasis on quality and service delivery. Companies offering robust service models, efficiencies in planned maintenance, and innovative compliance and reporting tools will find this an ideal growth opportunity. Aligning with the council’s objectives, this contract aims to facilitate longer-term efficiency and sustainability, thus welcoming businesses that deliver social value and environmental friendliness as a part of their service portfolio.
