## Summary

National Galleries Scotland is undertaking a procurement process for a Framework Agreement titled "Framework Agreement for the Provision of Specialist Art Transportation Services," focusing on transport services excluding waste. The procurement encompasses multiple lots, each designed to cater to specific transportation needs both within the UK and internationally, ranging from exhibition logistics to specialised art handling. The procurement stage is active and follows an open procedure. Key deadlines include the tender period ending on 12th January 2026, with awards expected to begin on the same day. This framework, located in Edinburgh (UKM75), has an estimated value of £450,000 and a planned duration of 24 months, with potential extensions. Suppliers are required to submit electronic responses and comply with significant insurance and certification prerequisites.

This tender presents extensive opportunities for businesses specialising in transport services, particularly those experienced in art transportation and logistics management. By participating, companies can gain access to a prestigious cultural institution's contract while also potentially joining a competitive framework geared towards high-quality service delivery. Businesses with robust technical expertise, project management capabilities, and a strong understanding of the art industry's logistics requirements may find significant growth opportunities here. The broad scope of services required—including packaging, transport, and storage—means that companies skilled in handling delicate and high-value consignments are well-suited to compete for these contracts. Moreover, the framework's structure allows for ongoing mini-competitions, creating continuous involvement opportunities for successful bidders.
