## Summary

The Department of Health & Social Care in the United Kingdom is engaging in a Preliminary Market Engagement (PME) as it prepares for a potential tender in 2026. This process pertains to the "Ambulance Radio Programme PME Mobile Data Vehicle Solution," focusing on key areas such as vehicle hardware and software solutions, engineering, and logistics services. The industry categories involved include radio and communication equipment, engineering services, and software consultancy. This market engagement process started with the publication of a notice on 4th November 2025, with crucial deadlines including the submission of a signed Non-Disclosure Agreement by 18th November and participation in a supplier briefing on 19th November 2025. Suppliers have until 23rd December 2025 to respond to the PME via the Atamis system.

This tender offers significant opportunities for businesses active in the fields of telecommunications, software development, and logistics. Small and medium enterprises, noted for their adaptability and innovative solutions in communication and engineering, are especially encouraged to engage given the suitability parameters and the prospect of future contracts commencing in 2027. The procurement method involves an early engagement process that is designed to gather market insights and inform the structure of future contracts. Companies that are capable of providing comprehensive solutions in vehicle hardware, software, and installation services stand a competitive chance in this procurement landscape, which has the potential to stimulate business growth and contribute substantially to service delivery improvements in the UK's public health sector.
