## Summary

Natural England, a central government public authority, has completed a procurement process for a feasibility study on applying a One Health approach to address air pollution issues within and around Protected Site Strategy areas. The procurement, conducted via an open competition method below the financial threshold, was awarded to LOGIKA GROUP LIMITED. The contract, valued at £33,295, commenced on 16th December 2025 and is set to conclude on 27th March 2026. The study's objectives include exploring the impacts of air pollution on biodiversity, the environment, and human health, using strategic methodologies like interviews and workshops. This procurement falls under the services category and took place in the UK, with key submissions and clarifications directed to Lucy Prescott at Natural England.

This tender represents ample opportunities for businesses specialising in environmental consulting, particularly those with expertise in air pollution and public health strategies. Companies skilled in cross-sector strategic planning, data analysis, and stakeholder engagement are well-suited to compete in similar tenders. Engaging in this domain could enhance a business’s portfolio by demonstrating capabilities in addressing complex environmental issues through innovative approaches. Moreover, successfully delivering such projects can help firms establish long-term partnerships with central government bodies, opening further avenues for collaborative and high-impact projects.

## Notice

A feasibility study to understand whether, and how, a One Health approach can offer a strategic lens for tackling air pollution. This will be explored within the context of Protected Sites Strategies but should consider the potential for wider application through other cross-sector strategies. The study should consider the impacts of air pollution on biodiversity, the wider environment and human health. The project aims to provide Natural England with: * An overview of where One Health, or other holistic approaches, have been applied in the management of air pollution. * An understanding of the benefits and challenges associated with implementing a One Health approach in the management of air pollution. * Recommendations for how a One Health approach could be applied to support the development of Protected Sites Strategies and strategic solutions to address air pollution issues. The methodology is expected to include interviews, workshops and/or focus groups with Natural England staff, networks and key external stakeholders and partners and may also include identification of evidenced examples through searches of published and grey literature.
