## Summary

The London Borough of Croydon is inviting interest in an upcoming procurement process for Short Breaks Services aimed at disabled children and young people and their families. This initiative is currently in the planning stage, with a market engagement event scheduled for 26th November 2025, at Croydon Town Hall. The event aims to gather insights and feedback from potential service providers. The Council, operating under its sub-central government role, is looking to commission services that will enhance independence and inclusion for disabled youths aged 0-25, offering diverse and high-quality opportunities. Located in Croydon, UKI62, the Council ensures potential bidders that the engagement process will follow the legal framework outlined in the UKPGA 2023/54. Interested parties should note the final service contract period, expected to span from 1st April 2026 to 31st March 2029, and that a future notice is planned for 18th December 2025.

This tender opens a significant avenue for organisations involved in education, training, and health and social work services, particularly those experienced in working with young disabled individuals. Both small and medium enterprises (SMEs) and voluntary, community, and social enterprises (VCSEs) are encouraged to participate, pointing to the procurement's suitability for diverse business models, including those focused on social value and community engagement. Participants in the market engagement will have an opportunity to influence the service design, ensuring it meets user needs effectively, fostering potential partnerships, and encouraging innovative service delivery within the sector.
