## Summary

Wolverhampton City Council has initiated a tender for the contract titled "CWC25029 - Building Fabric Reactive Response Repairs" within the works industry category. This procurement seeks to establish a responsive building repair, maintenance, and minor works contract covering the council's extensive public buildings and property portfolio in Wolverhampton. The process is currently at the tender stage, with critical dates including an enquiry period deadline on 1st April 2026 and a tender submission deadline set for 17th April 2026. The contract is intended to commence on 1st June 2026 and run until 31st May 2030, with an option to extend by up to two additional years. The tender is open to small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) and employs an open procurement method requiring electronic submission.

This procurement opportunity of approximately £3.84 million provides substantial potential for businesses specialising in construction and maintenance, particularly those skilled in urgent and reactive building repairs. The scope entails various repair and maintenance tasks such as glazing, carpentry, roofing, and fencing, with priority response times suggesting a demand for companies that can offer rapid services. Firms with capabilities in interfacing with council systems and asset management reporting would be well-positioned to benefit, enabling them to expand their service offerings within public sector contracts. With reserved participation for SMEs and voluntary community and social enterprises (VCSEs), this tender is tailored to drive business growth in the community by fostering competition among smaller, innovative companies.
