1.1. The Trust has a requirement to reduce the backlog of children waiting for Initial Paediatric Assessments, specifically Autism assessments. Current waiting times exceed 52 weeks, with 943 children waiting. This paper recommends the award of a contract to London Early Autism Diagnosis (LEAD) to deliver 137 Autism assessments within the required timeframe.
