## Summary

The Scottish Police Authority has initiated a procurement process at the planning stage for Phase 2 of its Electric Vehicle (EV) Delivery Programme. This project, titled "PROC 25-3165 EV Phase 2 – Design, DNO, Supply, and Install," aims to encompass the design, supply, and installation of EV chargers across 50 Police Scotland sites on the mainland. The procurement, classified under electrical equipment and apparatus, anticipates reviewing market availability and contract options, including turnkey solutions and partially bundled contracts. Important forthcoming dates include the future notice date set for 19th January 2026. The buying organisation is located at 2 French Street, Dalmarnock, Glasgow, and this process aligns with procurement category standards for goods, governed by CELEX regulation 32014L0024.

This tender presents significant opportunities for businesses specialising in electrical equipment, battery chargers, and EV infrastructure. Companies with expertise in electrical installation work, particularly those experienced in EV charger installation of varying capacities such as fast AC, rapid DC, and ultra-rapid DC chargers, will find this opportunity well-suited to their capabilities. The focus on bundled solutions also offers growth prospects for businesses capable of offering comprehensive turnkey services. Integration with Police Scotland's single-back-office provider is essential, positioning firms with established partnerships in similar projects to be competitive contenders. This procurement is particularly attractive for vendors accustomed to working with public sector clients and supporting the growth of sustainable transportation solutions.
